Collection Technician #1999 landed more forcibly than she would have liked, and couldn’t move for a little while. It was not because she feared something was broken, but because her body felt heavy and it was hard to handle her limbs.

Whatever this place was, its gravity was different from home.

She wasn’t sure she could breath this air either, even if she was able to do it right now, it could be slowly poisoning her body. She needed to act quickly. She needed to find some kind of intelligent life form.

“If only I knew if there’s any…”

Collection Technician #1999 decided her best choice was to explore this new and strange place.

So far it looked like a barren wasteland.

It was deserted, completely dead, there were no intelligent life forms anywhere to be seen. All that she found on her way was strange boxy structures, they were built with what looked like rock… but not quite. And also prehistoric machinery abandoned all over the place. Her mind started to wonder if she could use that technology to build a spaceship and go back home…

It was then when she found it. Inside of a smaller version of those boxes there was a barbaric creature that she only had seen before in holograms during her training.

A human.

Oh…. Oh!! Collection Technician #1999 suddenly realized exactly were she landed.

It was planet Simearth!

Collection Technician #1999 instantly hid behind a rock.

Humans were extremely dangerous and cruel creatures. They liked to trap Sixamnians to open their bodies and look into their systems. Even when Collection Technician #1999′s brothers and sisters tried to make peaceful contact with them and raise children that shared characteristics of both races, even when they tried to share their knowledge with this underdeveloped people… they didn’t appreciate that.

She couldn’t make contact just like that, they would be terrified. She needed camouflage. A body adapted to this planet and to its people. And for that she needed knowledge.

For now this little human’s mind would have to be enough to collect data.

All the data went directly into Collection Technician #1999′s system and she checked it on her control panel (totally not a phone). This human had a lot of useless information in his head about aliens. That was the name these people had given Sixamnians, and even when it was all wrong and silly, Collection Technician #1999 found it funny, like you would find funny the silly things a larvae says.

There was some information she could use nonetheless. All the ADN data, and the way human bodies worked. It would be easy to replicate.

And so she did. In a matter of minutes she created a case - a body that she could get rid of once she was done with it.

After getting her brand new body, Collection Technician #1999 needed to cover it - humans were very fussy about nakedness -, so she borrowed (forever) a few changes of clothes that she found outside what now she knew was called a house, which was just resting station with a fancy name.

Since Collection Technician #1999 didn’t have a house of her own and this human case was quickly running out of energy, she decided to lie down on the first place that looked good enough.
